It is with great honor and responsibility that I write to you as the serving president of EGBOSA.
For over three decades, since its establishment in 1992, EGBOSA has been a vital bridge between our cherished alma mater, Gandaki Boarding School, and the greater community, rooted in our shared values of ‘Knowledge-Character-Service.’ As we stand on the foundation laid by our predecessors, we continue to uphold these ideals in all our initiatives.
The reach and impact of EGBOSA have always extended far beyond the gates of the school. Our alumni, scattered across the globe, represent diverse fields, industries, and walks of life. Yet, we are united by our common heritage and commitment to give back. Whether it’s through annual flagship intra-school programs, mentorships, scholarships support, or social initiatives, Ex-Gandakians exemplify the spirit of leadership and service that was instilled in us during our formative years.
EGBOSA’s annual events—ranging from the Bhanu Poetry Competition to highly impactful medical camps and student mentorship—remain a testament to our enduring commitment to Gandaki Boarding School. But more than that, we have shown, time and again, our readiness to support society at large. In times of crisis, from the 2015 earthquake to the more recent pandemic, EGBOSA has stood on the front lines, organizing relief efforts, mobilizing resources, and offering critical support to those in need.
As we look forward, one of our flagship initiatives is the EGBOSA Scholarship Trust, established during the school’s Golden Jubilee in 2015/16. We are steadily working towards our goal of a 100 million rupee fund to create a self-sustaining scholarship program, ensuring that talented students from all backgrounds have the opportunity to receive the world-class education Gandaki Boarding School offers. With 3.3 million rupees already secured, our vision is closer than ever to becoming a reality.
Our achievements are a reflection of the unwavering dedication of our alumni, whose contributions of time, resources, and expertise have made all of this possible. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has played a part in EGBOSA’s journey. It is my hope that, together, we will continue to foster the spirit of service and extend our impact in ways that uplift our school, our community, and our nation.
I look forward to your continued support as we embark on this new chapter for EGBOSA, and I am confident that, with your involvement, we will continue to make meaningful progress in the years ahead.
