Job Description:

The Automobile Engineer will be responsible for the design, testing, installation, and maintenance of vehicle systems and components. You will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that all automotive systems meet safety, performance, and quality standards. You will also play a key role in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of automotive issues to optimize vehicle performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Lead the design and development of automotive systems and components, ensuring they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Testing & Validation: Perform testing of vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in automotive systems, working to minimize vehicle downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Installation & Maintenance: Supervise the installation of automotive parts and systems, ensuring they function correctly and comply with manufacturer guidelines. Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to reduce future issues.
  • Collaboration: Work with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure successful integration of new systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design iterations, tests, repairs, and maintenance activities, ensuring accurate documentation is available for future reference.
  • Training: Provide technical training and guidance to mechanics and staff on vehicle systems, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Automobile Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive design, system installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of automotive systems and components.
    • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for vehicle troubleshooting.
    • Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex automotive issues.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work outside regular business hours or on-call when needed to address urgent vehicle-related issues.
