Warm Greetings!

On this auspicious occasion, I thought it fit to convey my heartfelt thanks to every one of you for the good times we have shared. “On behalf of the Board of Management, the teaching staff, the students and the parents, let me extend sincere greetings. It is with humility and pride that we joined the wider community in saying a big thanks to our supporters over the years.

We, the Ex-students, fondly remember the meaningless giggling, the silly mistakes, and pranks, the eating together, the competitions to win the maximum stars and medals. The affectionate chidings, the words, and wisdom of teachers always remain in the heart to revert back to school days and relive those moments. This portal has been created to reflect upon your time spent at GBS with nostalgia, connect with alumni members, teachers, and students, share your fond memories and success stories.

You are the brand ambassadors of our institution, in fact, the significant stakeholders. Together, we can tread on the path to provide the best learning experience to our learners and help them carve out a successful career for themselves. The school is providing free and subsidized education to many but with joint efforts, larger numbers can reap the benefit. Many students lag behind due to the dearth of resources. Even if we cannot help many but can certainly help someone. A small drop can make an oceanic difference to the life of someone. The great Buddha taught that anyone who experiences the delight of being truly generous will never want to eat another meal without sharing it. To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

An ‘EGBOSA’ is ‘the nurtured,’ one who was loved, cherished, and held in high regard and affection. This term ‘ EGBOSA ‘ is therefore exactly descriptive of our feeling for our old students here at GBS. Every student who passes GBS will surely realize his / her dreams and make a positive impact on the community in particular and the world in general. An EGBOSA is also an asset to this institution in the sense that he/she gives something back to enrich the institution in terms of experiences shared or expertise volunteered, he or she also is an ambassador of the GBS who disseminates the values and ideals. School stands for and propagates these values over generations by being a model to the young. GBS believes in lifelong learning and this alumni initiative should promote many qualities such as sharing and caring, constant and periodic communication, and assistance to the EGBOSA all over the globe as required. This portal will be a great platform to share ideas as well as learn about the progress made by us. We look forward to your contribution to make this association a great success. Our student population is growing, they participate in a number of activities and are doing exceptionally well. According to our Vision Statement, our desire is to create and maintain a school environment with resources to provide quality education for all students enabling them to contribute to national development and competing effectively in a global economy. With that in mind, our main goal is to improve our achievement score. This means more materials and manipulatives, extra help from a specialist, and support and encouragement from all.

Let me hope that through this medium, we will help our children to realize their dreams and fulfill their God-given mission and indeed compete effectively in the global economy.”

I am most indebted to the illustrious management both past and present for giving the golden opportunity to serve in this institution, for their invaluable guidance, encouragement, and support.  My predecessor principals,  colleagues, teaching and administrative staff, and EGBOSA who are my mentors provided me with meaningful opportunities for my professional development, reposing trust in me and stood by me at all times. I owe a lot to my colleagues who have been a great source of strength.
